Only three hours north of Mexico City to Querétaro. This is a beautiful city that has many city folks who rush up from Mexico City for the weekends. Streetlife is very crowded but friendly and the feeling of friendship is everywhere, quite unlike in the big city.

It took us almost an hour to find this hotel, which appears to be a work in progress. Even the cops didn't know where it was. It shocked us all, but turned out to be a reasonably comfortable place to stay. At least it was quiet and the management (what management?) didn't bother us.

The cozy room with one night stand, a wall-mounted TV and a very spartan bathroom, some of which lacked a commode seat.

This massive aquaduct is the major landmark of the city. It was built to provide water from the mountains to the city. The city is rapidly developing, but they have worked hard to maintain the historical landmarks and provide a clean and safe place for visitors.

A beautiful street scene with one of the major churches of the city.

Robert, Fernando, Reynaldo and Drtee enjoy a great meal at a sidewalk cafe.

Tim chows down on some great tacos.

One of the squares with it's beautiful statue in the background. Note the shadows which indicate how late we got into this lovely city.

Wow!
