The only thing we got to see today, other than the road from Guadalajara to Mexico City, was the Museum of Anthropology. We got there so late we almost didn't get to see it.

Everyone was sleeping away, except yours truly. These kids don't seem to be interested in scenery.

…which is a shame, since we went through some of the most beautiful parts of Mexico today. We covered 550 Km, leaving the hotel in Guadalajara at 8:18 and arriving at the Museum at 5:20.

We stopped in Irapuato to have lunch. We looked and looked for a place to eat and finally stopped at a roadside restaurant where they were broiling chickens over charcoal. We grabbed a couple of freshly broiled chickens and hat a great lunch for $3.00 apiece. Adan looks like he's had a bad taste. I loved it.

We arrived in Mexico City at just at 4:36 and it took another 45 minutes to make it to the Museum.

The Angel of Independence monument is located only a few blocks from our hotel.

Speaking of the hotel, this is what it looks like. No, the blond did not come with my room. The pictures were taken from their website.

The Museum has opened a new salon since last year. The topic was pre-historic man and there are a number of minature diaramas. This one shows a woman giving birth while a friend watches the progress.

Equally gory stuff. Aparently, these women decided to have a boyfriend for picnic.

This is a group of primitives who lived in northern climate.

The fountain in the middle of the courtyard is very impressive.

More tomorrow. I have excellent Internet access using AOL.
