We got away at 8:14, just like last year. The sun coming over the bus kind of flared on us. This is the smallest group yet. Only 15 students and me.

Amy Garza, Brad Snearley, Tony Palacios, and Selina Partida are shown with the Sierra de la Silla (Saddleback Mountain) in the background. The gray building behind them is the Casino de Monterrey, a private club located on the Gran Plaza.

The same group shown in front of the King Neptune fountain. Notice the horses are merhorses (like mermaids, you know).

Another view from the backside.

Soon to be wet, the group poses in front of the fountain in the plaza of the Museum of the 400 years, which we toured. The wind suddenly shifted from the East and they got a nice cool down. Really hot down here today.

A view from the museum's steps. Notice the size of that Coca-Cola sign on the 20 story building across the way. The bottle is formed for pictures of people. It's been up there for several years now. Talk about outdoor advertising!

More pictures will be posted on this page tomorrow. We're going to have a full day tomorrow. Come back and visit us when you can.

This picture is one the hotel uses to promote itself. It's actually a very nice place and has a great location. It is located right on the Macro Plaza in the heart of town. Free drinks each day and a free breakfast! No complaints here.
