These are some more pictures that I took around town.  The city was divided into a modern part and the historical center.  170,000 people live in this town and most live in apartments.  Almost no single family dwelling units were to be found in the town or in the suburbs around town.

A beautiful fountain located on the north end of the historic center of town.  The buildings you see across from the fountain are all apartments on the upper floors.

We got involved in a street fair on the day when they observed the Salamanca festival.
