We had a chance to go to El Prado, the most fabulous art museum in the country.  It's rated right up there with the major museum of Europe and it's fabulous.  It contains more than 3,000 canvases, including entire rooms of masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, and Bosch.  I didn't really take all that many pictures, but here are some of the better ones I got.

We also went to the Reina Sofia, which contains nothing but modern art and they don't permit pictures.  Frankly, there's very little that this uncultured person would have seen to be worth photographing anyway.  No pictures.
We also went to the Thyssen, which contains some wonderful art and I have a bunch of photos you can see by clicking here.

The Neptune fountain in the street just in front of El Prado.  This was a beautiful part of town with broad boulevards and parks.

There was a major showing by Titian, which this sign is publicizing.  They spelled it this way.

The Annunciation.  Sorry, I couldn't get it all in the frame.
