Ramiro Rea is the Coordinator of the program and works with the Secretariat of the Universidad to solve problems with students' class assignments, home stay arrangements, or whatever arises. He has been with the program for a number of years and, as a native speaker of Spanish and professor of Latin American literature, is very effective in dealing with students, faculty, and administrators.

Barbara Mayo is on the faculty for the first time this year. She teaches courses in Speech Communication. After teaching as a lecturer at U.T.-Pan American for four years, she has become a permanent instructor at STCC in McAllen.

She brings her optimistic and cheerful attitude to the classroom and motivates her students to go out and find topics and information to be used in the speeches they are required to make in her class. She even takes students on field trips to advance their experience with various day-to-day aspects of life in Salamanca.

Xiomara Vázquez, is an instructor of Contabilidad (Accounting) at Monterrey Tec de Guadalajara. This is her first trip to Salamanca and she is collaborating with Dr. Ganguli in presenting a program for CMA/CPA review with students from Tec de Guadalajara.

Dr. "G.G." Ganguli, is a Professor of Accounting at UT-Pan American and came to Salamanca for his first time after spending two weeks in Germany at Lüeneberg, which is a partner school with U.T.-Pan American. He is teaching the CMA/CPA review program with Zomaira.

His physician daughter came to visit with him from the U.S. while we were in Salamanca. He is shown after eating dinner at Isidro's, a favorite restaurant for a number of the faculty.

Dr. Gary Mounce is a Political Science prof at U.T.- Pan American and is teaching several courses at both the lower and advanced levels. He speaks Spanish fluently and is widely traveled. He brings his world view to Salamanca for the first time. He and his wife Maria Elena and their daughter Nena are enjoying the ambiance of the city and are taking advantage of the weekend excursions arranged by the Universidad de Salamanca.

 

Malena Mounce is teaching Sociology and Marriage and the Family. She is the spouse of Gary and they have brought their daughter along to experience España. She taught at U.T.-Pan American for a number of years and now teaches at Edinburg North High School.
Andrea Hernández is an economist from the faculty of Monterrey Tec de Guadalajara. This is her third year in Salamanca and she is teaching the course International Business. She enjoys travel and getting to know about the culture of España.

Dr. Bill Thompson, Professor of Marketing at U.T.-Pan American, is back for his second year. He is teaching International Marketing and Principles of Marketing. His wife Sallie will spend three weeks with him here and in España after she completes a visit to England and Scotland with her God-daughter. "DrTee" enjoys travel and has taught in study abroad courses since 2000.
