Bin's Research
Research Interests:
Electronic Commerce, Performance of Electronic Marketplaces, Survival
of Technological-Focused Firms.
Internet Firm Survival:
During the past couple of years, we’ve witnessed a large-scale
Internet firm failure in the electronic marketplace. This research
analyzes Internet firm morphing and survival using a multi-method survival
analysis. The first study examines the Internet firm morphing process
through the lens of evolutionary game theory. The second study performs
nonparametric survival analyses and employs a semi-parametric analysis to
empirically test an explanatory model of Internet firm survival. The third
study applies fully parametric survival analysis and examines the
explanatory model in the second study with additional assumptions.
Consumer Behavior in Online Reverse Unique Bid Auction:
In this research, I examine the winning bids at an online auction site
where the lowest unique bid for an item wins.
