The Valley Markets and Tourism Research Center examines social, cultural, environmental and economic issues related to Rio Grande Valley markets and the Valley tourism industry. 

The most notable markets targeted for study by the Center are:

J. Senior winter visitors or "Winter Texans"

J. Mexican Nationals

J. Local Rio Grande Valley residents
